Some weddings feel intimate not because they are small, but because everyone has arrived with intention.
Anna and Petar’s international destination wedding at am Roan was exactly that - a meeting point for two lives, two backgrounds and the people who had travelled to Vienna to celebrate them. The whole day felt warm, effortless and deeply personal.
A destination wedding in Vienna, surrounded by nature
Am Roan sits high above Vienna at the edge of the Vienna Woods. With its old trees, open views and light-filled spaces, it has the calm of a countryside setting while still allowing guests to experience the city - a beautiful balance for a destination wedding in Vienna.
The day was filled with thoughtful simplicity: soft flowers, handwritten menus, natural textures and a relaxed garden atmosphere. Anna wore a clean-lined satin dress with a long veil, while Petar chose a timeless navy suit. Their first look on the terrace was tender, playful and completely unforced.
For their portraits, we stepped into the open landscape nearby. The wind caught Anna’s veil as they walked, laughed and held each other, creating photographs that feel both modern and honest - a little editorial, but never posed for the sake of it.
What stayed with me most was the warmth between people. Different families, languages and histories came together around Anna and Petar, and by the end of the day it felt like everyone belonged in the same story.
